As Gustavo said Transmission is really great for bittorrent.

For IRC coming from X-Chat I can&#039;t really stand Colloquy, I&#039;m using Limechat (http://limechat.net/mac/) a very nice and light RubyCocoa app.

For chm files iChm works pretty well.

Didn&#039;t know Nocturne... I will check it out.</description>
